Just-In-Time Supply to Customer with Delivery Confirmation (53X)
The process starts with receiving a Just -In- time (JIT) call from customers (see the Just-In-Time Supply to Customer (2EM) scope item). During the processing of such JIT calls, the goods are posted as consignment stock. Consignment goods are stored at the customer location but owned by suppliers.
The customers are not obligated to pay for these goods until they remove it from consignment stock. As the goods are consumed, customers send JIT delivery confirmations via SOAP API with information about materials, quantity, and reference JIT calls.
The delivery confirmation is matched with the existing JIT calls within the supplier system. The material planner (JIT supply) has an option to release them manually.
Once the delivery confirmation is released, subsequent documents (such as customer consignment issue order and outbound delivery related to customer consignment issue order) are created and the goods issue is posted.
After the billing is done, the JIT call lifecycle status is updated.
