Warehouse Production Integration (3DV)
With this business process, you can integrate the supply of products to production and the receipt of finished products from production into your warehouse. You first trigger the staging of material that is requested by production. This activity results in an outbound delivery that is distributed to the warehouse as an outbound delivery order (non-WM-managed production supply area). Further process steps such as the creation of warehouse tasks are initiated based on these documents. A warehouse operative moves the material to the production supply area and confirms the warehouse tasks accordingly. If the production storage location is not WM-managed, the goods issue must be posted for the outbound delivery to make the material available for consumption at the production storage location. Finally, the finished goods from production – to be stored in the warehouse – are received and moved to the final bin.
